Terms of service
These terms cover your use of ReLease, a site where UC Berkeley students share reviews of local landlords and rental properties. By using the site, you agree to them.
Who can use it
Anyone can read reviews. To post one, you must be a current or former UC Berkeley student and verify a .edu email address. Post only your own real rental experiences.
Your reviews are your own
Reviews reflect the personal experiences and opinions of the students who write them, not those of ReLease. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm it is truthful and based on your own first-hand experience.
What's not allowed
You agree not to post: accusations of crimes or illegal conduct that name or identify individuals; personal or contact information about yourself or others; statements you know to be false; or harassment, slurs, or threats. See the review guidelines for details.
Moderation
A person reviews submitted free-text comments before they appear publicly. We may decline or remove content that breaks these terms or the guidelines, at our discretion.
Removal requests
If you believe a review is false, violates these terms, or contains your personal information, email (contact email to be added) and we will review it.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is." Reviews are individual opinions and experiences; we do not independently verify every claim and do not guarantee accuracy. Do your own due diligence before signing a lease.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReLease is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site means you accept the changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
